What is the marking method for rechargeable batteries specified by IEC? According to IEC standard, the identification of Ni MH battery consists of 5 parts.

01) battery type: HF and HR refer to Ni MH battery

02) battery size data: including diameter and height of round battery, height, width, thickness and numerical value of square battery, separated by slash bar, unit: mm

03) discharge characteristic symbol: l indicates that the suitable discharge current rate is within 0.5c

M indicates that the suitable discharge current rate is within 0.5-3.5c

H indicates that the suitable discharge current rate is within 3.5-7.0c

X indicates that the battery can work at a high discharge rate of 7c-15c

04) high temperature battery symbol: denoted by T

05) battery connecting piece: CF stands for no connecting piece, HH represents connecting piece for pulling type series connection piece of battery, Hb represents connecting piece for side-by-side series connection of battery.

For example, hf18 / 07 / 49 represents a square Ni MH battery with a width of 18mm, a thickness of 7mm and a height of 49mm,

Krmt33 / 62hh refers to nickel cadmium battery with discharge rate between 0.5c-3.5. High temperature series single cell battery (without connecting piece), with diameter of 33mm and height of 62mm.

According to IEC61960 standard, the identification of secondary lithium battery is as follows:

01) battery identification composition: 3 letters followed by 5 numbers (cylindrical) or 6 (square) numbers.

02) the first letter: indicates the negative material of the battery. I - lithium ion with built-in battery; L - lithium metal electrode or lithium alloy electrode.

03) the second letter: indicates the positive material of the battery. C - cobalt based electrode; N - nickel - based electrode; m - manganese - based electrode; V - vanadium - based electrode.

04) the third letter: indicates the shape of the battery. R - for cylindrical battery; L - for square cell.

05) number: cylindrical battery: 5 numbers indicate the diameter and height of the battery. The unit of diameter is millimeter and the unit of height is one tenth of millimeter. When any dimension of diameter or height is greater than or equal to 100 mm, a diagonal line shall be added between the two dimensions.

Square cell: six numbers indicate the thickness, width and height of the battery in mm. When any of the three dimensions is greater than or equal to 100 mm, a diagonal line shall be added between the dimensions; if any of the three dimensions is less than 1 mm, the letter "t" shall be added before this dimension, and the dimension unit is one tenth of a millimeter.

For example, ICR18650 stands for a cylindrical secondary lithium-ion battery. The cathode material is cobalt, which is about 18mm in diameter and 65mm in height.

ICR20/1050。

Icp083448 represents a square secondary lithium-ion battery. The cathode material is cobalt, which is about 8mm thick, 34mm wide and 48mm high.

Icp08 / 34 / 150 represents a square secondary lithium-ion battery. The cathode material is cobalt, which is about 8mm thick, 34mm wide and 150mm high.

Icpt73448 represents a square secondary lithium-ion battery. The cathode material is cobalt, which is about 0.7mm thick, 34mm wide and 48mm high.
